The source code for Frostbite, the engine that powers the game Battlefield 2042, was reportedly amongst the hacked files.


Hackers tapped into the servers at Digital Arts Thursday, making off with critical game information for popular titles, which includes FIFA 21. The knowledge is now reportedly up for sale on the dark internet.

To start with noted by Vice, the hackers declare to have designed off with 780GB of details from EA servers, which include the supply code for FIFA 21 and the code for its matchmaking server. Also snatched: the supply code for Frostbite, the engine that powers well-known EA titles like Battlefield.

EA confirmed the hack when we attained out, and mentioned that this was not a ransomware assault, and that no participant facts or personalized information was incorporated in the breached files.
