Bengaluru-based ed-tech startup ProLearn has raised ₹30 crore ($3.2 million) in a pre-seed funding round led by BEENEXT. Other investors in the round include Eximius Ventures, Antler India, and a group of angel investors.
The funding is considered one of the biggest pre-seed investments in India’s ed-tech sector in recent years. It highlights the growing interest of investors in AI-powered learning solutions.
Building an AI Tutor for Every Student
Founded in April 2026, ProLearn is developing an AI-based learning companion for school students and competitive exam aspirants. The platform will cater to students preparing for exams such as JEE, NEET, UPSC, and CAT.
Unlike many online learning platforms that depend on recorded video lessons, ProLearn is building an interactive AI tutor. The AI will be able to talk to students, answer questions, explain concepts, and adjust lessons according to each student’s learning speed and understanding.
The company also plans to add support for multiple Indian languages to make learning more accessible.
Experienced Founder Leading the Venture
ProLearn was founded by Ravneet Singh, who previously served as the Director of Technology at Vedantu. He is a graduate of IIIT Hyderabad and has experience working in both the education and technology sectors.
His deep understanding of online education and student learning challenges has helped the startup gain investor confidence. Many investors believe his experience will help ProLearn create a better and more personalised learning experience.
How the Startup Will Use the Funds
The newly raised funds will be used to build the company’s AI technology, create curriculum-based learning content, and expand its team.
ProLearn will also invest in developing learning materials aligned with NCERT, CBSE, JEE, and NEET syllabi. In addition, the company plans to hire experts in artificial intelligence, machine learning, product development, and growth.
AI Continues to Attract Attention in Ed-Tech
Although funding in India’s ed-tech sector has slowed down in recent years, AI-focused startups continue to attract investor interest. ProLearn plans to launch its closed beta version in Q4 FY27 before expanding to a larger group of students.
The startup’s goal is to make personalised learning more affordable and accessible. As AI becomes an important part of education, ProLearn hopes to help millions of Indian students learn more effectively and prepare better for their academic and competitive exams.
