AI education startup YoLearn.ai has raised $500,000 in a pre-seed funding round, taking its valuation to $5 million. The funding round was co-led by DataAlpha.ai and White Swan Global, along with participation from several angel investors.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to improve its AI tutoring platform, strengthen its voice-based learning technology, and expand its presence in schools and competitive exam preparation across India. As AI becomes a bigger part of education, YoLearn.ai aims to make learning more interactive and accessible for students.
YoLearn.ai offers AI tutors for school students and competitive exams
YoLearn.ai is officially registered as AI.YOLEARN PRIVATE LIMITED. It was incorporated on January 27, 2025, with its registered office in Noida and headquarters in Gurugram. The company was founded by Kirti Prakash Mishra, an educator and AI expert with over 15 years of experience in the education technology sector across India and the Middle East.
The platform uses conversational AI along with a live digital sketchpad to make learning easier. Instead of only answering questions through text, the AI tutor can explain topics by speaking, drawing diagrams, solving maths problems, and showing visual examples, similar to how a teacher explains lessons on a classroom board.
One of the key features of the platform is its support for 22 Indian languages, including Hindi and Hinglish. It covers NCERT, CBSE, ICSE and state board syllabi, making it useful for students from different education boards. It also helps students preparing for competitive exams such as JEE, NEET and CUET.
Students can choose from different types of tutors based on their learning needs. They can study with AI-generated tutors, verified teachers, or master tutors created by well-known educators. The platform also includes an AI Book, a Smart Revision Planner that tracks study progress, and courses on coding, artificial intelligence and design.
According to the company, the platform is most popular among students from Classes 9 to 12 who are preparing for both board exams and entrance tests.
Platform also helps teachers create AI teaching assistants
YoLearn.ai is not only focused on students but also on teachers. Through its Creator Platform, teachers and schools can create AI avatars that teach in their own style. These digital versions are trained using the teacher’s own study materials, allowing students to learn anytime while keeping the teacher’s teaching approach.
The company says this can help teachers reach more students and create new income opportunities without increasing their daily workload.
The platform also offers AI-powered tools that save teachers time. These include lesson planning, worksheet creation, quiz generation, assessment building, presentation making and question bank preparation.
Earlier this year, YoLearn.ai joined the NVIDIA Inception Program. This partnership gives the startup access to advanced AI tools, technical support and opportunities to work with other AI companies.
The startup currently has around 20 employees and is supported by an advisory team with experience in artificial intelligence, education and data science.
User base grows as competition increases in AI education
YoLearn.ai says it has crossed 200,000 users across its website and mobile apps. During its first month, the company recorded around 50,000 Android users and 10,000 web users, showing strong early interest in the platform.
The company follows a freemium model where users receive free tokens to access AI learning features. Those who need more usage can upgrade to paid plans that offer higher token limits and additional features.
The startup has also shared positive early results from schools using its platform. According to the company, a CBSE school in Delhi reported better homework completion rates and improved assessment scores after introducing the AI tutor for Class 10 science students. Individual students have also reported better learning outcomes after using the platform regularly.
However, there is one point that remains unclear. While the latest funding round values YoLearn.ai at $5 million, earlier market estimates had suggested a higher valuation and annual recurring revenue. The company has not explained the reason for this difference.
YoLearn.ai is entering a competitive AI education market where several Indian and global startups are already offering AI-powered learning solutions. Even so, the company believes its voice-first teaching experience, multilingual support and AI tools for both students and teachers will help it stand out.
With fresh funding in hand, YoLearn.ai now plans to improve its products, reach more schools and students across India, and move closer to its long-term goal of building an AI-powered learning platform for one billion learners by 2030.
