Experience tourism startup Bucketlistt has raised INR 1.07 crore in a pre-seed angel funding round as it looks to grow its business and expand to new locations across India. The company, which operates under Kovans Ventures Private Limited, has achieved a post-money valuation of INR 10.07 crore.

The funding round saw participation from several angel investors, including Arvind Choudhar, Aenik Shah, Kartik Khatri, and Yash Mehta, founder of Joyspoon. The fresh funds will be used to improve technology, expand the operator network, attract more customers, and strengthen the team.

Founded in April 2025 by Chartered Accountants Shubham Makhecha, Nitant Desai, and Divyam Shah, Bucketlistt aims to bring structure and technology to India’s highly fragmented experience tourism market, which is estimated to be worth around USD 45 billion.

Building a Trusted Platform for Travel Experiences

Bucketlistt was created to solve common problems in the experience tourism industry, including lack of trust, poor standardisation, and limited digital support for operators.

The company operates through two platforms. The first is a consumer marketplace where users can discover and book verified adventure, cultural, and spiritual experiences. To ensure quality and safety, the founders personally verify every operator before adding them to the platform.

The second platform is OkGhumo, a SaaS-based ERP and CRM solution built for experience and activity operators. The software helps local businesses manage bookings, tickets, finances, and daily operations more efficiently.

The idea for Bucketlistt comes from the personal experiences of co-founder Shubham Makhecha. During a gap year, he travelled solo across 21 Indian states, became a certified paragliding pilot and trek leader, and guided more than 3,000 participants on adventure trips. These experiences helped the founders understand the challenges faced by both travellers and operators in the sector.

By combining a trusted booking platform with business management software, Bucketlistt aims to improve the overall experience for customers while helping operators run their businesses more effectively.

Strong Growth Within Months of Launch

Since launching its marketplace in December 2025, Bucketlistt has shown strong early growth.

The startup says it has processed more than INR 10 crore worth of bookings and served over 31,000 customers within its first five months of operation. The company has also reached EBITDA break-even, an important milestone for a young startup.

According to the founders, Bucketlistt generates daily sales of around INR 1.5 lakh to INR 2 lakh. Nearly 20% of customers come through word-of-mouth referrals, showing strong customer satisfaction and growing brand awareness.

At present, the company mainly operates in Rishikesh, one of India’s leading adventure tourism destinations. Through the platform, customers can book activities such as river rafting, bungee jumping, skydiving, camping, hot air balloon rides, and premium access to the famous Ganga Aarti.

Meanwhile, the company’s B2B software platform, OkGhumo, is also gaining traction. Operators using the software, including Splash Bungy and River Rocks Adventure, together represent more than INR 40 crore in annual business volume.

Expansion Plans Include New Cities and Unique Experiences

With the new funding, Bucketlistt is preparing to expand its presence in several tourism destinations across the country. The startup plans to launch operations in Manali, Bir, Jaipur, Goa, and Ujjain in the coming months.

The company also wants to move beyond adventure tourism by offering more cultural and spiritual experiences. Planned offerings include “Dinner with the King of Rajwada,” VIP Darshan access at the Mahakal Aarti in Ujjain, Chardham helicopter tours, and authentic Feni-making experiences in Goa.

On the technology side, Bucketlistt is working on a dedicated mobile app for customers. It also plans to introduce loyalty programmes, dynamic pricing features, and AI-powered booking tools through its OkGhumo platform.

As more travellers look for unique and memorable experiences, Bucketlistt believes there is a large opportunity to build a trusted platform that connects customers with verified operators. With fresh funding, growing customer demand, and expansion plans already in place, the startup is now focused on becoming a major player in India’s fast-growing experience tourism market.
