CMR Green Technologies Limited is one of India’s largest non-ferrous metal recycling companies. The company mainly produces aluminium die-cast alloys and zinc alloys, while also recycling and selling metal scrap such as copper, brass, and stainless steel. With 13 manufacturing plants across the country, CMR Green has built a strong presence in India’s recycling and manufacturing sectors.

Sustainability and Technology Drive Growth

The company plays an important role in supporting the aluminium industry’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions. It was among the first companies in India to supply liquid aluminium directly to customers. In 2024, CMR Green received a government patent for its Intelligent Ladle Transport Safety Monitoring System. The company is also increasing its use of solar energy, showing its commitment to sustainable operations.

Strong Customer Base and Global Partnerships

CMR Green Technologies works with several well-known international partners, including Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Nikkei MC Aluminium, and Nippon Light Metal. Its customer list includes major automobile manufacturers and auto component companies such as Maruti Suzuki, Honda Cars India, Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, Royal Enfield, Endurance Technologies, and Jindal Stainless. These long-term relationships have helped the company grow steadily over the years.

Financial Performance Shows Steady Improvement

The company has reported consistent growth in recent years. Its revenue increased from ₹5,868.5 crore in FY23 to ₹6,666.5 crore in FY25. At the same time, EBITDA rose from ₹207 crore to ₹303.7 crore. The improving financial performance has increased investor confidence in the company and its future prospects.

CMR Green Technologies IPO Sees Strong Demand

The company’s IPO has become one of the most talked-about public issues in recent weeks. The ₹630.88 crore IPO, which is entirely an Offer for Sale (OFS), received an overwhelming response from investors and was subscribed more than 127 times. The allotment is expected to be finalised on June 8, while the shares are scheduled to list on stock exchanges on June 10. Strong grey market activity has added to the excitement. However, experts say investors should also consider risks such as dependence on the automobile sector, changes in metal prices, and the fact that the IPO does not bring any fresh funds into the company.
