Indian D2C fragrance brand Fraganote has raised $3 million (around ₹28.7 crore) in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by V3 Ventures, while existing investor Rukam Capital also joined the round.

With this latest funding, Fraganote has now raised a total of $4 million from external investors. Last year, the company secured $1 million in a Pre-Series A round from Rukam Capital. The fresh capital will help the brand grow its product portfolio, strengthen its market presence, and expand across India.

Founded by husband-and-wife duo Garima Kakkar and Arjun Anand, Fraganote has quickly built a name for itself in the premium fragrance segment. The brand is known for combining quality perfumes with emotional storytelling, creating a unique experience for customers.

Fraganote Looks Beyond Perfumes

The company plans to use the new funding to expand beyond perfumes and build a complete body care product range.

Fraganote will introduce new products such as perfumed body washes, shower gels, body lotions, body mists, hand creams, and lip serums. The goal is to offer customers a complete fragrance-based personal care experience instead of just perfumes.

The founders have also shared plans to enter the home fragrance and car fragrance categories in the future. These new segments could help the company reach a larger customer base and create additional revenue streams.

Apart from product development, a part of the funding will be used to strengthen the brand’s identity. Fraganote’s marketing strategy focuses heavily on storytelling. Each fragrance is connected to a specific emotion, memory, or feeling, helping customers build a personal connection with the product.

The company also pays close attention to packaging and presentation. Premium boxes, magnetic caps, attractive visuals, and carefully crafted stories are all part of the customer experience that Fraganote wants to deliver.

Retail Expansion and Revenue Growth

Fraganote is also planning a major offline expansion. The brand currently operates kiosks in 14 cities and aims to increase that number to 100 locations by the end of this year.

The move reflects the growing importance of offline retail in the fragrance industry. Since customers often prefer to smell a perfume before buying it, physical stores and kiosks can play an important role in driving sales.

According to the company, Fraganote currently generates between ₹2 crore and ₹2.5 crore in monthly revenue. The founders say the business has grown nearly five times during FY26 compared to the previous year.

The company has also set ambitious targets for the future. It aims to reach ₹60 crore in revenue by FY27 and hopes to cross the ₹100 crore revenue mark within the next 18 months.

Fraganote’s sales come from multiple channels. Around 60% of its revenue is generated through its own website. Quick commerce platforms contribute about 20%, while online marketplaces and offline stores make up the remaining share.

The company currently offers around 42 products across its fragrance portfolio. Product formulation and design are handled in-house, while manufacturing is done through contract partners. Fraganote sources glass bottles and atomisers from China and imports fragrance oils from Europe, the Middle East, and India to maintain product quality.

India’s Fragrance Market Continues to Grow

Fraganote’s latest funding comes at a time when India’s fragrance market is growing rapidly. More consumers, especially Gen Z shoppers, are showing interest in premium perfumes and long-lasting Eau de Parfum products.

This changing consumer behaviour has attracted investors to the sector, creating opportunities for new-age fragrance brands.

At the same time, competition remains strong. Fraganote competes with well-known brands such as Skinn by Titan, Secret Alchemist, Pilgrim, Plum, Zara Perfumes, Bella Vita, and House of EM5.

Despite the competition, investors believe Fraganote has strong growth potential. Its focus on premium products, emotional storytelling, and an omnichannel sales strategy has helped it stand out in a crowded market.

With fresh funding and expansion plans already in motion, Fraganote is now looking to strengthen its position in India’s fast-growing fragrance and personal care industry while working towards its next phase of growth.
