Indian AI video startup TrueFan AI has secured $10 million (around ₹96 crore) in a Series A funding round led by Baring Private Equity Partners India and Z3Partners. Existing investors IAN Alpha Fund and 3Lines Venture Capital also participated in the round. With this fresh capital infusion, the company’s post-money valuation has reached $40 million, strengthening its position in the rapidly growing AI-powered content creation market.

Revenue Growth and Improved Financial Performance

The funding announcement comes at a time when TrueFan AI is witnessing strong business momentum. The company reported a 131% year-on-year rise in revenue, reaching ₹17.1 crore in FY25 compared to ₹7.4 crore in FY24. At the same time, its losses narrowed significantly from ₹13.9 crore to ₹8.8 crore.

According to the company, its revenue has grown 11 times over the last 20 months. The startup also claims to maintain a low cash burn rate of just 10% of revenue, highlighting its focus on sustainable growth while scaling operations.

AI Video Production at Massive Scale

Founded in 2020, TrueFan AI has built its flagship product, TF Studio, to help businesses create highly personalised videos at scale. The platform can transform a single five-minute recording into thousands of customised videos, making content creation faster and more cost-effective.

The company’s cloud-based GPU infrastructure can generate up to 500,000 localised videos every minute. Over the past year, video production on the platform has increased from 5 million to more than 20 million videos annually, with expectations to touch 50 million videos this year.

Strong Focus on Indian Languages

One of TrueFan AI’s key differentiators is its support for more than 175 languages, with special expertise in Indian languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and Bengali. The platform is designed to deliver accurate lip-syncing and natural speech patterns, even for code-mixed conversations like Hinglish and regional language combinations.

The startup also integrates with WhatsApp Business API, CRMs and customer engagement platforms, enabling brands to send personalised AI-generated videos directly to customers.

Enterprise Adoption and Future Plans

TrueFan AI currently serves over 100 enterprise clients across sectors including banking, healthcare, consumer goods and media. Its customer list includes major brands such as HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance, Zomato, Cipla and BharatPe.

Looking ahead, the company plans to develop real-time AI video agents capable of handling customer support, onboarding and sales conversations. It is also targeting expansion into Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the United States, using the new funding to accelerate its global growth ambitions.
